The championship round of rodeo at the 2014 National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado was full of action and enthusiastic fans in the stands (a near capacity crowd of 8,279).  Here is my story and some photos from the event that have been published in The Fence Post magazine.

Does Everything Remind You…?

So I’m watching football today.  You know… snacks nearby, comfortable spot on the couch, team friendly apparel.  The whole shebang.

Then I noticed something.

During the games, I was appreciating different camera angles shown by the television crews.  I even commented out loud a couple of times, “Nice camera work.”

I appreciate good camera angles!

What?

Yep… I’m actually noticing the camera work.  I guess that’s one of the eccentricities of being a photographer.  I’ve noticed it when watching movies at the theater with my wife.  I’ll lean over to her and whisper, “That’s awesome camera work.”
