My Name on a Building!

Okay – maybe my name won’t be front and center…

I was blessed to be able to schedule another editorial photography and interview appointment yesterday (September 10, 2021) in order to do a second story on the massive construction project on the grounds of the National Western Stock Show.

This story will focus on Colorado State University’s (CSU) presence and partnership on the site and its agricultural implications for the state of Colorado. But I also got to sign one of the construction beams that will be placed near the top of CSU’s “Hydro” building, which should be completed sometime in 2022. So I guess my name will be IN the building, rather than on it.

Pretty cool bonus after the tour, though! Now the Hydro building will always produce a smile whenever I see it in the future as that is as close as I will ever get to having my name on a building.

Procrastination Over…

At least most of it!

Over 15 years ago, I put in a lot of work and hours into custom building my own website. Over the years, more hours were spent trying to keep it updated. But then it started to feel… dated.

But I procrastinated in redesigning my website because I knew it would take many more hours to get it set up the way I wanted. And I procrastinated. AND procrastinated!

Well… procrastination over. I finally bit the bullet, so to speak, and did a redesign and rebuild of my www.lincolnrogers.com website. It still needs some tweaking and a LOT more photography needs to be added — I am planning on setting up a number of galleries of my past work — but the redesign makes it more current and much more simplified.

A New Arena Record!

Arena records are rare.

That means a rodeo ride or roping has to have beaten the highest score in that event that the rodeo has had in its history.

Well… the 56th running of the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo saw a new arena record in the bareback event with an 88 point ride from Jamie Howlett aboard a Summit Pro Rodeo bronc named Cowtown.

South Dakota cowboy Jamie Howlett set an Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo arena record in the bareback competition with an 88-point ride aboard Summit Pro Rodeo’s Cowtown during Saturday afternoon rodeo action at the 2021 Elizabeth Stampede (June 05).

It’s Been A While

It can be… challenging, to say the least, to think anyone out there in cyberworld really wants to see anything I type. 🙂 But I will give it a go, once more.

Even if I am inconsistent, it is better than nothing, eh?

One thing I am becoming passionate about is looking more closely at the writings of the Founding Fathers of the USA. They were passionate themselves. And brilliant.

One of my favorite Founding Fathers, the inimitable Samuel Adams.
